Barnet ended Fleetwood Town's unbeaten start to the League Two season with a commanding 3-1 victory at The Hive on Saturday evening. The win extends Barnet's own unbeaten run and sends them two points clear at the summit of the table on 15 points from seven games.
Kabongo Tshimanga opened the scoring from the penalty spot after ten minutes, but Fleetwood levelled before the break. Will Davies scored on 36 minutes after Danny Andrew's initial effort was saved and Adam Murphy struck the post.
The home side regained control in the second half. Charlie Lakin put Barnet back in front on the hour mark, converting the rebound after his first shot was saved by goalkeeper Jay Lynch. Just two minutes later, Idris Kanu made it 3-1, finishing off a move assisted by Tshimanga.
Barnet played the final stages with ten men after Nnamdi Ofoborh was sent off late in the match. Fleetwood pushed for a response but could not find a way back into the game.
They have now scored 17 goals this season, the highest total in the division.
Dean Brennan's side now look ahead to their next league fixture away to Crawley Town on 26 September. Crawley currently sit 24th in the table, and Barnet will be aiming to maintain their momentum at the top. The full squad list and current injury news is available on the club's squad page.
